Technology and components

ASAHI lifts are assembled in Vietnam on Japanese- and European-configured components: gearless machines, inverter control panels, automatic rescue and certified mechanical safety devices.

What Japanese configuration means

Imported core components, made-to-measure cabins in Vietnam

The parts that decide a lift's safety and smoothness (machine, controller, inverter, safety gear, overspeed governor) use components from specialist manufacturers in Japan and Europe. Cabins, landing doors and shaft frames are fabricated to each project's actual measurements.

The result is a durable lift thanks to genuine core equipment, with controllable delivery, a reasonable cost and maintenance by technicians based in the same urban area.

Gearless machine

A gearless machine needs no gear oil and is compact enough to sit inside the shaft, removing the need for a machine room. Low starting current, high transmission efficiency and quiet running.

  • Fuji FJG7: 500 – 3,000 kg, 1.0 – 3.0 m/s, 2:1 roping, 110 VDC brake
  • Fuji FJG7-K with belts: 630 – 2,000 kg, 1.0 – 2.0 m/s, IP41 protection, self-lubricating bearings
  • Sharp SEG-05 for home lifts: 230 V, 2:1 roping, 1,000 kg static load, weighs 113 kg
  • Home lifts: Fuji FJK3, Mona 200, Ziehl-Abegg SM190 / SM200

Control panel and inverter

The controller calculates the acceleration and deceleration curve from the distance to the destination floor, so the lift starts and levels smoothly. The home-lift version is slim enough to fit in the shaft wall.

  • Fuji FJ7000HL (home): 3.7 / 5.5 kW, 220 V single-phase or 380 V three-phase, 1.0 m/s, 8 stops, housing 1,100 × 200 × 100 mm
  • FJ7000HL is contactor-free (TÜV certified), below 45 dB, SIL3 safety, built-in UPS
  • Fuji FJ7000 (buildings): 5.5 – 30 kW, 0.4 – 2.5 m/s, up to 64 stops, group control of 8 lifts, 60 diagnostic codes
  • Step Sigriner SSCP-GE9000: 7.5 – 22 kW / 400 V, up to 2.5 m/s, simplex / duplex / group, manual brake release

Automatic rescue device (ARD)

In a power cut, the ARD uses batteries to drive the cabin slowly to the nearest floor and open the doors, so passengers can walk out without waiting for rescue.

  • Rated 600 – 1,200 W to match the inverter power
  • 2 – 4 batteries of 12 V / 7 Ah, multi-stage smart charging

Door operator

The door motor is inverter-controlled, so the panels open and close lightly, quickly and quietly. Folded one-piece panels resist warping; an infrared light curtain reopens the door when a person or object is in the way.

Mechanical safety devices

If the cabin overspeeds, the governor triggers the safety gear, which clamps the cabin to the rails. Hydraulic buffers in the pit absorb impact at the end of travel.

  • FJG240A governor: rated speed 0.5 – 2.5 m/s, trips at 0.58 – 3.23 m/s, 240 mm sheave, 8 mm rope
  • FJSG01 safety gear: up to 2.5 m/s, car + load 750 – 3,200 kg; FJSG02: 3,000 – 6,000 kg
  • Hydraulic buffers FJ-HB80A (up to 1.0 m/s) and FJ-HB175A (up to 1.75 m/s), 600 – 3,000 kg

Flat ropes and belts

Polyurethane-coated belts with a steel cord core wrap around a small sheave, so the machine is more compact, quieter and wears less than with traditional round ropes.

  • Belt 30 mm wide, 3 mm thick, steel cord core
  • Minimum breaking force 32 kN
  • Residual strength of 29 kN after 10 million bending cycles

Features

Operating and safety features

Features of the inverter control system. Some are available only on building lifts or as options.

Smooth operation

  • VVVF inverters for both motor and doors: smooth starts and levelling
  • Returns to a parking floor when there are no calls
  • Door dwell time adjusts to car and landing calls
  • Press twice to cancel a mistaken car call

Door safety

  • Light curtain: the door reopens automatically for a person or obstacle
  • Doors open only when the cabin has fully stopped
  • Door-hold button for moving furniture and luggage
  • Doors close again once the obstacle has gone

When a fault occurs

  • Safe landing: self-check, then bring the cabin to the nearest floor
  • Overload buzzer; the lift will not run until the load is reduced
  • Automatic rescue (ARD) in a power cut
  • Backup control if the processor or communication link fails

Options

  • Key card or PIN access control for apartments and offices
  • Priority mode: car calls only
  • LCD screen showing floor and information
  • Group control of 3 – 8 lifts for buildings

Quick cabin size estimate from the shaft

Enter the clear shaft dimensions, choose the lift line and door type to see how wide a cabin will fit.

Formula: cabin size = clear shaft size minus allowances for the lift line and door type (factory catalogue). The result is for reference; an ASAHI engineer will measure and confirm on site.

Cabin size (W × D)–

* Estimated from the EN 81-20 area–load table, for reference only.
